RE: Team for tonight - hilsea12 - 18-12-2020

Jack is out through illness, a big blow.

RE: Team for tonight - hilsea12 - 18-12-2020

Jack is out through illness, a big blow, Ihope it's not covid

RE: Team for tonight - Pangus - 18-12-2020

Surely thats an almighty gamble playing Raismusen tonight, I feel it would have been better going for Downing's experience. I just hope I am proved wrong.

RE: Team for tonight - mikey393 - 18-12-2020

Bit of a Big Blow with Jack out but Raismusen is hopefully a better bet than Downing. He is also very good in the air at set pieces.

RE: Team for tonight - hilsea12 - 18-12-2020

I feel he is showing some signs of improvement, we will have to keep our fingers crossed

Hi s on the bench though I think

RE: Team for tonight - hilsea12 - 18-12-2020

O-1 to pompey

RE: Team for tonight - dsmg - 18-12-2020

Don’t know what Rasmus has done wrong so far for you to be so worried about him

RE: Team for tonight - hilsea12 - 18-12-2020

An own goal   by greaves

RE: Team for tonight - dsmg - 18-12-2020

Looked like Raggetti scored to me

RE: Team for tonight - hilsea12 - 18-12-2020

It's been given to  Greaves as an own goal, I think Raggy will dispute it. So far so good.

RE: Team for tonight - dsmg - 18-12-2020

Raggers also playing very well in defence, making several timely blocks. Rasmus ok except for a sliced clearance. Harness very sharp in attack. All in all good so far against the top team.

Pompey 0-2 like like another own goal

Two - nil! As it stands, we are currently top of the league!

Who'd a thunk that a while ago.

RE: Team for tonight - 66zoolane - 18-12-2020

I liked the commentary 'Was it a dangerously low foot from Ragget or or a dangerously low head from Greaves'. Never going to end well. We look dangerous, and we look good a lot more than we don't this season.

RE: Team for tonight - hilsea12 - 18-12-2020

Close on for Williams

RE: Team for tonight - Wightblue - 18-12-2020

Great, great win. Really grafted, everyone put in a shift, congratulation all round on going top

RE: Team for tonight - bluetagagain - 18-12-2020

Great win, loads of confidence. A 2-0 win away from home without having any shots on target Big Grin . On the downside,Marquis has no footballing skills what so ever, talk about ball watching. Still, top of the league for Xmas, bonus[Image: thumbsup.png]

RE: Team for tonight - Rocketman - 18-12-2020

A great performance. Defence was immense every one of them, attack kept pressure on, and attack/midfield also heled out well with defence. My MoTM just about Williams, but pretty much everyone was an 8.

RE: Team for tonight - Gerry Hatrick - 18-12-2020

Fantastic performance, the passing, the blocks, the organisation...unrecognisable from the team of September/October.
This is what it takes to get out of this league - set the quality and don't drop it, set the workrate, don't drop it. We won't sta top of the league but we have to stay on top of our game.

I thought Marquis led the line really well. Can't fault his work rate.

RE: Team for tonight - hilsea12 - 18-12-2020

It was nice to see Gary O'neil in the Sky Studio, both he, and Clinton Morrison were very complimentary about Pompey.

Great win with 2 O.G.s. I'd give Raggett the first one though. Deifinitely, Not dangerous play though. Marquis did really well with No real support. 4-2-3-1 worked well tonight but need to change to 4-4-2 more at home with Harrison or Hiwula partnering Marquis. The only player I wasn't that impressed with was Curtis who I thought was a bit of the pace & a few misplaced passes but still a 7.

RE: Team for tonight - dsmg - 18-12-2020

Curtis was up against a very strong fullback but still managed to put in several dangerous crosses. He’s not quite clicking but as you say worth a 7 which ain’t bad.
