RE: England - muschi - 04-07-2021

Well with merkle and macrons teams already out wouldn't it be great toe pee off the eu by winning it?

RE: England - Hammie - 04-07-2021

ha good point!

RE: England - Tufnell_Chimes - 04-07-2021

I think the people of Northern Ireland may have a different take on that.

RE: England - Hammie - 04-07-2021

one day some time there will have to be a reunited Ireland, some of them won't be too happy about that either.

A different take on what??   Huh

RE: England - Tufnell_Chimes - 05-07-2021

That hastily rushed-through, little-read and little-understood NI Protocol was probably a bigger step towards re-unification than than the GFA. And now Lord Frost, who penned it and pushed it through, no longer likes it now he understands it and seriously stretching the patience of his EU counterparts. For their part, they’re just sticking to the agreement, but the ammo they’ve been handed by the idiot johnson and Frost could make life very hard for those in the six counties. So if we win, its probably best not to be a dick about it - there’s been enough of that behaviour already.

RE: England - bluetagagain - 05-07-2021

It’s been a fuck up since day one. All the UK need to do is relabel the produce with something like ‘ to be sold in NI’ only . The current agreement suits neither side. It’s a very unique situation that should’ve been thought about as soon as Brexit was a reality.

Mr Sav...couldn't have put it more succinctly myself!!

Whoever this guy is, or he thinks he is, he is soooo boring and narcissistic. Can understand though why he writes on here because if he was face to face with somebody they would probably die of boredom so this is probably the only way he gets his kicks.

What springs to mind every time he writes something is the scene from Airplane when the similar guy bores his travelling companion to death. Classic!!  Cool

Yet you try to entice him out to play with the likes of your Transgenda weighlifter threads

Getting back on track,

Another cringeworthy interview last night with Schmichael and Holjberg told they are the underdogs to which they both laughed and just said "are we"? While grinning to each other. Where on earth do they get these hacks from - the school of how to motivate your opponents?

Should we get through tonight there should be some posters feeling silly about the early comments on this thread.

We will never have a better chance of winning something.

Fingers crossed but maybe FCH.

RE: England - Tufnell_Chimes - 07-07-2021

ITV hub is the best advertisment for not defunding the BBC. Until they sort out their rubbish app this should be the last England game they attempt to broadcast.

RE: England - Northstander - 07-07-2021

Happy with that. We deserved it

RE: England - slayer - 07-07-2021

Three Lions on a shirt, fucking get in there

RE: England - muschi - 07-07-2021

most professional performance from an England team I've ever seen.

Italy's ageing defenders will not enjoy Sunday.

RE: England - bluetagagain - 07-07-2021

Great Result and great team effort

RE: England - stayinupforever - 07-07-2021

Italy will play dirty and cheat.

RE: England - Smirnoffexpress - 07-07-2021

Sterling was awesome.

RE: England - Tufnell_Chimes - 07-07-2021

Sterling’s been outstanding in every game.

RE: England - Tomsk - 07-07-2021

Sterling has been very good but Shaw has been the best and most consistent England player

RE: England - Trarchus - 08-07-2021

Well played England, did the country proud, what a great result?  Thought Denmark played well but ran out of steam, no problem with our fitness levels the longer the game went on the more confident I got.

Slight mistake I thought taking Saka off and switching Sterling over to the right both were playing brilliant and had Denmark in all sorts before that.  Perhaps, Saka had a niggle or was tried, it didn't look like it.  Even so, Sterling was immense all game.  Got a bit nervous last 10 mins in extra time going 5 at the back also.

A mention for Maguire who was outstanding.  Denmark's game plan of stopping us playing and closing down worked but defending wise was top notch.

Top players for me have been Harry Maguire, Kyle Walker and Raheem Sterling, maybe John Stones too. I don't think this defence gets enough credit. Three goals conceded in the last 20 games is a phenomenal record.

RE: England - briefcase_wanchor - 08-07-2021

Sterling has been great and caused plenty of problems in the box. But he should stop wasting opportunities shooting from more than 12 yards - on that front he's been Sunday league. Also, running from deep he often gets greedy and runs into trouble.
