Players' wages - stayinupforever - 28-06-2021

Given that, allegedly, our existing players' new contracts were offered at 40% less than before what are we paying the new ones coming in?

I would expect the players will be offered market rate. And that rate is now less than last year.

The playing budget is about 1m down on last year judging from the comment Catlin made that if we got 1.5m for Curtis that would make the budget bigger than last year.   So, so far it depends what fee we got for Bolton and Jacobs if he goes.

The amount of the decrease offered to those out of contract has not been disclosed, so that 40% is just someone's guess.  It is unlikely to have been the same for every player.
