Pompey in the first half look every bit as disorganised as under Jackett, absolutely no sign of the high energy, athletic, fast paced football I was promised. Luckily Fleetwood didnt capitalise on their first 30 minutes of dominance
Bass long balling all his clearances, nothing new there then.
Brown and Curtis with yellows already (Curtis’s as stupid as ever), only Ahadme remotely impressive.
Huge improvement needed in the second half if we’re going to get three points out of this., definite improvement if we are to avoid defeat.

Not the most encouraging 45 minutes. Fleetwood away on a wet pitch might not be the best place to assess our hopes for the season but if we play hoofball at home to Crewe I won't be impressed!

Absolutely no sign whatsoever of the football Cowley has promised, OK, early days but not even any intent, just the same old same old - even down to the perennial nail biting last 10 minutes as we try to hang on to the win.

First games not often the best indicator of how the team will play for the season. Lost a key midfielder during the warm up as well. Taking that into account, 3 points, half of the other games were drawn, so will settle for that with the hope of new signings around the corner and better performances to come

Was really hoping for a performance to get excited about though. Sounds like there weren't many aspects to be cheerful about, except of course for the result!
Well done to the boys for grinding it out. They got away with it today but it's going to be a long old slog at this rate.
