as Harry said (more or less), you cannot win promotion by September but you can be a good way towards losing it.

Let's see where we are at Xmas.
The acid test as long as we're still going well is the January transfer window.
Get that right with 2-3 quality loans/signings & we stand a very good chance of the autos.
We all know from past experience what happens if we get it wrong!

We actually have coaches who will carefully manage the player's fitness and ensure their conditioning now though.
Far more optimistic about how the squad will get on through December and January
