I agree the football under DC has yet to fulfil his promise but Jackett was far far far more boring. DC sets a side out to win, Jackett set his side out not too lose. There’s a big difference. You can’t really compare at the moment as DC has only been here a dog watch and inherited a poor squad.
Jackett was here far too long, inherited a good squad and left a poor one. LBH, we complained about the tippy tappy football Cook played.

As regards DC , I’m happy to give him until Xmas. The reason why we are in mid table is probably because for the last four years Jackett made the existence of a yoof academy pointless so we've had to buy or loan players when we really should've had them coming from the reserves. He also blew that rare moment in our history - the time when the Eisner's were actually willing to pay decent money for players. As a result, we can't afford to pay decent money or wages for players (unless we're all good and then we've got to as grateful as feck for it) and we face having to spend shedloads, and wait years, for any youngsters to emerge. Any other club would have sacked him after Coventry but for me the final straw was the tame capitulation against Oxford in the playoffs. Eisner's liked him coz they knew he'd never get us promoted and Westwood liked him because he'd know nothing would happen for the first 25 minutes of the game. I'm not totally into Cowley but make no mistake the club have literally had to start almost from scratch again, with limited funds, just 10 months ago.

I’m not sure how you see he sets out a side to win, I certainly don’t see that at all. He sets up to not lose. He’s allergic to players who can score ffs. He inherited a top 6 side.
