Not a bad video except for dreadful soundtrack.

Fratton park is nowhere near big enough and good enough for what we need.
We need that new North stand ASAP.

If Luton & Bournemouth with their half our capacity grounds can make it all the way to the PL so can we - not that most of is want to under the current screwed PL system.
I would take a few years consolidating in the Championship with a couple of decent cup runs - then move forward with a new North Stand & a 6/7k increase in ground capacity. At the same time keep buying up houses that come up for sale around the ground - particularly behind the Milton End.

Shame there is no quick way to fill the corner from north to fratton even with a temporary stand

It's another example of ..... Sorry I lapsed into total Titchfield blue bollocks for a scarey moment.

And, I swear, on floodlit night games you can feel that, the history that the old girl is wrapped in cannot be bought and cannot be replaced. Big enough? Obviously not big enough but obviously good enough.

Think Andy Cullen said that unless they can build the houses, the hotel, and the stand together to fund the stand it won’t happen. Else you are looking for an £80m plus investment to build, in order to get a few thousand more seats…… would take years to pay back just through ticket revenue only

Its not going to cost 80m to build a bigger north stand. Think about it. £80,000,000 for one stand. That's extremely misleading. They just need time to do it on the cheap.

There's no doubt that FP is looking better than it's ever done, however, as to building a new North Stand, this simply won't happen for at least another 5-10 years because:-
So, however much we as fans would love to see a new North Stand developed, it will take many years....and as good as the Eisner's are, they face one hell of a frustrating battle to get through the archaic and tortuous planning system we have in this Country. Of course, if I was Prime Minister I'd grant planning tomorrow and tell Railtrack and everyone else to just do one!!

I thought the new north would have confidence and hotel facilities. Then housing on the current car park. Maybe nock down the shop/pompey in the community and put that in the new north aswell to create more space. But all this comes after access has been sorted

It won't take another 5 to 10 years to build the North Stand. With an ever growing season ticket waiting list, I'm sure we will see real progress soon re increased capacity and with the North stand.

As for what the Club’s been doing these past 5 years….that rather proves my point as it’s taken that long to agree to do a preliminary study into the building of a new foot bridge. As much as I want a new North stand built, people really need to get real about the time that planning consent and the multiple legal agreements will take to resolve.

It makes you wonder why we didn't build a new purpose built stadium with a 30K capacity? |
