I think if we can maintain this then the 2nd half of the season, should we be able to bring in a CH & CF could prove very interesting. Chaaaarrrrggggeeeeeeeee.
That's 4 games unbeaten

if Robertson gets fit, then we don't seem too bad in defence, maybe a loan in?
CF most definitely, just an old fashioned lump who can head the ball
Amazing how good a few good results make you feel - the beers are going down too well 2nd weekend running, and I'm even thinking maybe we can get knocked out in the play-offs this season after all!

The cunning plan is a late run to 6th with a pretty poor side. That's how the play offs are won most seasons.

I'd be happy to be a yoyo club for a few seasons. Just want to be out of L1 as soon as possible. The amount of extra money you get from promotion makes it worth it, if you use it the way the eisners have.

I think the play offs are doable but only if we are able to bring in reinforcements in Jan. Raggett has emerged as absolutely key for us, if anything happens to him between now & Jan we are fooked @ CH. So ideally in Jan another CH has to be brought in, jury still out on Hirst for me & JM is struggling this season. So another CF needs to be acquired. How we'll do it I haven't a clue but I hope it doesn't mean cashing in on Harness.

I know he has some games where he appears to go missing for a while but they are less frequent now and let's face it, have we anyone else who can create something from nothing like he can? Of all the players whose contracts run out at the end of the season, he would be one I would least like to see leave. Not just saying that because of his recent run of goals.

Nine, can we make ten!

What an excellent result, I’m starting to believe .

A few comments around about lack of quality in today's game but weather conditions like today don't make for good football. What this team is showing is spirit, fighting until the final whistle and versatility. Really pleased we kept a clean sheet with such a makeshift defence.

I'm struggling to cope with all this feeling happy on a Saturday evening stuff :-D

Back to the key plan of keeping a clean sheet, amazing what a difference it makes.
Funny how quickly this squad has gone from seeming to have no guts when the pressure was on, to seeming just the opposite.

It is bound to be yet another false dawn, build up your hopes only to stamp on your heart when you least expect it is the Pompey way!

Its the hope that kills you. I'm glad that we are getting some performances to be proud of. The team is really digging deep, given how many broken bodies are piling up in our treatment room.
What happened to Lee browns back?! His missus keeping him busy whilst he was suspended?

There seem to be a few too many bedroom injuries. They should be like Gary Lineker who didn't have sex for four days before a game.

Okay we may have lost in the Cup but 5 weeks on from the OP we are now 9 unbeaten in the League. It hasn't always been pretty but a great effort considering all the sickness and injuries.

Also suggests that we are unlikely to see a collapse in form as the squad players are really stepping up now. Going to be interesting to see what we can add in January now and to see who gets off loaded. Really, only most of our strikers and Downing look little help now.

I suppose that if the squad players are getting regular game time, they are likely to improve. Hirst is probably the best illustration of that. I’d sooner see Marquis and Harrison exit.
Can’t wait to get Morrell back on the pitch. Really missing him. Azeez just isn’t cutting it.

Morrell is the driving force in our midfield and probably the best player we have in any position

I agree that Azeez has improved (it wasn’t difficult) but if we are to make a push for the playoffs then we need players who are already up to speed. I certainly wouldn’t pick Azeez over Morrell or Thompson, at least not yet.
