Happy days. Another player who won't get injured playing for his country

I read this a few days ago and IMO this is poor man management from MON to single out Paddy Lane. I understand O’Neill’s reason about going for team bonding etc but PL was absolutely shattered by the end of the season and deserves a break. I’m sure if Lane is playing well in the championship then he’ll be re-called.

agreed, he was suffering a tad towards the end.
be interesting to see how he copes with another level

It isn't right that he is being singled out like that. The lad was dead on his feet at the tail end of last season after putting an incredible shift in all season. I would like to see Mousinho stand up for him publicly.

He was never expected to play virtually every game. Kamara neither!
Makes you wonder what we would have done with a pair of fully fit first choice wingers as well as those two!

I agree he should never have been publicly singled out - hows that going to go moving forward. Rubbish man management - MON seems more Mourinho than Mousinho.

I Mourinho is away on holiday with his family. I suspect Paddy has listened to the club about resting. Shows O’Neill in a bad light.

I understand the above comments but he has had more of a break than plenty of other players that are going and really isn't showing the manager any commitment to the national team where the manager needs to take as much time as he can get with his squad.
If Paddy doesn't want to play international football then that's his decision but if he does then I agree with MON that he needs to commit. If he doesn't then he might not get to make that desicion again and I'd say rightly so.

If he’s good enough then he’ll get picked again.

Not impressed with the NI manager at all. Reminds me of the way Hoddle hung Beckham out to dry. No mark coont.
