In the days when turn up and pay to stand was cheap as chips. Felt odd being in with another home end, like being in an episode of Minder too.
Norwich filled the away end, were better than Fulham and made a right racket. Ran out easy winners and pushed us further away from winning the league.
I did the same thing that day, it was definitely Wimbledon. Mention of that reminds me of when I went to watch an Arsenal home game, as they were my local team at the time. Wondered why there weren't many people about and eventually it dawned on me that it had been a lunchtime kick-off. So I dashed off to watch a West Ham home match instead. So easy in those days, no booking needed, no giving your address etc, no 'How was your match day experience?' questionnaires. And affordable.
