‘Can’t repeat much, he weren’t happy. There’s not too many times we’ve had the hairdryer treatment’. Marlon Pack.
We were awful and it was a terrible effort from the league leaders. They should be ashamed of that.
It was a great point to get. Hats off to Bolton, they played very well.
I don’t want to get promotion playing like that. Fingers crossed for Barnsley.
‘I don’t want to get promotion like that’.
Don’t you? I fucking do.
I want to get promotion and couldn’t give a flying one how we do it.
We didn’t play particularly well but we did defend well and the point is a very welcome one.
I’m looking forward to Fratton Park on Tuesday when we can finish the job.
PUP
That’s not to criticise your viewpoint.
Pompey will get promotion and relegation at some stage in the future, just as we always have in the past. It reflects life and I’m interested in what happens today and hope for the best tomorrow.
It was a pitiful performance yesterday and I regard that as a waste of my time (and a small amount of money). More fool me for relying on others to provide success and enjoyment.
I think you're being too downbeat. We all want to be entertained and we'd much rather have smashed them off the pitch and beat them 5-0. But there's entertainment also in achieving the shared goal of promotion. The players aren't robots and it won't work out every week. The players and staff owe their absolute best effort levels to the fans, but they don't owe and couldn't possibly guarantee success every single time. How many times this season have we put in a 'pitiful' performance in the league? Unlike seasons gone by, you can probably count them on one hand.
Plymouth got some absolute hidings last season and Bolton absolutely destroyed them on the Pizza cup final, but if Plymouth fans were crying about it; they were crying into the league one trophy in the end.
We're on a home stretch of fixtures where we either have played or are about to play 5 of the other top 8 teams. I don’t expect any of us looked at those fixtures thinking we wouldn't lose st least one but so far, so good. If yesterday was part of a pattern then I'd worry but it isn't. It's just one poor performance in isolation.
