You seem to be in favour of football resembling a church service ffs.
If people attack other people THEY should face the law, not the club. all fining the club does is line the pockets of the hopelessly incompetent football authorities.
If you go to Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, in fact just about anywhere, the attitude to drinking in grounds, flares, pitch invasions and the like is much more relaxed.
As for drinking, most people do that outside the ground, so any restrictions in the ground are completely futile.
As has been said, this is a money grabbing exercise.
We live in a strange country where knife crime is rampant, shoplifting and other theft is tolerated, sectarian disputes are played out on our streets pretty much every week, we are on the verge war in Europe and we are worried about a few people joyously invading a football pitch.
Strange times indeed.
