And those 'acknowledgements' that you claim are as meaningless as anyone else's opinion. A prediction of what would have happened if something else had been done cannot be proved or disproved, so by definition cannot be wildly inaccurate.
To go all JVT and use a football analogy it a bit like saying if we had kept Hawkins and not replaced him with Harrison we would have got more points. I might believe that, and I could produce a mathematical model based on points per game thay may support the view but I cannot prove it would have been the case so can't state it as fact, only opinion. But no-one else can prove it to be wrong, let alone claim it to be wildly inaccurate.
