Its more than time to put in simple financial fair play rules. Run at a loss, be behind with tax, no promotion or cup finals allowed, as well as no signing of players until it is paid off..
That all sounds very fair to me Hammie.
It does. Football needs a overhaul & also a fairer distribution of money. But it has to be said with Championship clubs paying in excess of 25k per week in some cases football needs to get real 1st & foremost. Derby are the case in point atm, but Bristol City/Reading & also iirc Stoke now having financial problems for chasing the dream. Its crazy.
Bristol City are apparently losing £412,000 a week, and are not the worst in the division. Tthere's only one way that can end.
Absolute madness. Could be a good season to be promoted from L1. Next season sounds like there will be 3 or 4 absolute basket cases of clubs, finish above them job done.
