Yeah, your probably right Deepblue, we’re much better off with Eisner !
I mean, why would we want an owner who already had experience of owning a club (Nice) and who was absolutely intent on bringing Premier League football to Portsmouth. Much better to have a virgin ‘soccer’ owner who knows absolutely F*ck all about the game and who seems content to see his side in the football boondocks (which is what L1 and L2 are).
And we certainly don’t want some of the cream of world football visiting Fratton Park do we ? Much better the lumpen footed artisans who have provided the entertainment in recent seasons and for the foreseeable future.
We’re well off not having an owner who knows enough about the ownership game to know when the models broke and sets about fixing it (but fortunate to have one who thinks knows enough to extend an incompetent managers contract).
I do think you are selling Eisner short, clearly whilst he knows nobody worthwhile in the industry that is football, he was able to use his Disney contacts to bring Dopey to manage us for 4 seasons, good call !
The last thing we need is an owner who spends c. £60 million on achieving Premiership football, much better with an owner to whom £60 million represents c. 0.012% of his wealth…..even though the tight ars* won’t spend a cent of it.
