Well, a few changes there

That looks a lot more balanced.

We are terrible at keeping control of the ball. It's poor considering the opposition.

Main thing is we're winning. Scarlett will come on in 2nd half & run them ragged!
22-10-2022, 03:16 PM
hope so. Pigott failed to take his chance by sound of it.

It's awful to watch. We look like a mid-table team. We should be hammering what is effectively a non-league side. We don't even look interested.

Only go by radio commentary and for sure it doesn't sound good. 2nd half in particular.
22-10-2022, 03:25 PM
Lack of confidence and effort.
22-10-2022, 03:33 PM
Very very poor game, but we'll take 3 points.
22-10-2022, 03:36 PM
Very poor options from the bench with Minghi struggling with cramp. Morrisson about to come on.
22-10-2022, 03:55 PM
well 3 points is 3 points but oh dear this doesn't sound like a team capable of playing 3 games this week!!! I wonder if taking Curtis off when so many players were struggling to last 90 mins was a good idea?

We scraped that win somehow. McGee played well in goal for them & made some great sounding saves. Scarlett missed a nailed on header from point blank range it sounds. Pack should be back next Tuesday.

2 points gained on Plymouth and Sheff Weds. Was working today so can't comment on the game but a win is a win and hopefully the start of another run. Glad to see that Mingi played well as think he could be a good player for us. Anyone any comment on Swanson? Sounds like he put in some decent crosses and probably should have been in the team a couple of games earlier?

A,much better weekend. A patchwork team keeping a clean sheet and a win. A very important win.
3 points from our last 3 away games. Thats decent, innit. Any news on when rafferty is back? Swanson is also not a long term solution right now.

I thought Swanson did extremely well.

Lol Scarlett didn't miss from point blank range but it was a good chance. He really didn't offer much else, unfortunately. We weren't really anything special in the first half. Mingi was a very bright light in an otherwise workmanlike performance. Second half was game management at its most boring but was largely effective. We looked like a team shorn of a few first team players. It wasn't pretty but it was professional. Swanson was ok. He struggled to partner with Dale but then they haven't really played together. Piggot was largely crowded out by Forest and didn't have much chance to shine. Tunnicliffe wasn't much of a threat to anyone. It's one thing having a great game against Villa's boys but against grown up players......nah. Mingi was fantastic. In fact I'd say he played better than Pack has for the last few games. Wouldn't mind seeing them partner up. Not match fit enough to play the whole game yet. Curtis was a one trick pony today. His cut inside and shoot is too predictable. His air shot was amusing. Koroma didn't really offer anything different. Reeco. I wish he'd make better choices. Bishop. What a shame Mcgee pulled off that save! It wasn't pretty but its a win. We're off and running but we need players back, even if only on the bench.

And where was Lowery again after being told ages ago he was fit? All week we were hearing how it could be the 2 mini-midfielders today only to find neither of them were fit! Maybe saved for Tuesday because we need him!

The player we also missed badly yesterday was Jacobs. Everything normally goes through him to dictate the pace of the game. He's the perfect foil for Pack who's the aggressive ball winner in midfield. Let's hope his latest injury is just a minor one & he'll return soon.

Jacobs has only played 8 games, mostly as sub I think? Not sure he’s been as pivotal as you think.
