Snooze reporting we’re interested in Mickel Miller, wing back. Argyle mates say he’s decent but injury prone. Hopefully can do better. Mind you, they’re more worried about Wazza being their next boss
Miller from Argyle

Wazza???
Oh please let that happen, I would laugh my cock off! Re Miller I've seen him a couple of times for Plymouth and he looked really good

Apart from Raggett, are there any modern players who are not injury prone?

Surely Mick the Miller had 2 left feet… and 2 right ones as well…

I'm old so I can go back to lete sixties and know more players than I do now! When we kicked our reserve side into touch our manager George Smith announced that 'there's only fish in the sea around Portsmouth'. Ironically, as I recall, on the same day (or as near as damn it) Boby Tambling, a Hayling Islander, scored five for Chelsea at Villa Park. In terms of developing youngsters and having a half decent reserve side playing in a competitive league the progree we've made in the best part of sixty years is negligible. Looking at the reverse side of the coin, when we cut our squad to about 17 players (1967/68) we damn near got promoted to League Division One. I remember it all fell apart over the Easter period when Ray Pointer broke his leg! You're right though; players back then didn't pick so many injuries even tough they were kicking four buckets of sh1t out of each other at a time when you were allowed one substitute. Might have got a few things wrong but I am very old!

Watching the old Big Match, most players almost seemed to be a different shape then.
More life Rafferty (either of them) then Kamara or Anderton. Perhaps lots of running or kicking the ball keeps you fitter to play football than siting on a machine in the gym. ? Thinking wider, Fred Truman hated the "modern" training techniques that bought in Olympic Athletes to try and teach him how to be fit for cricket. He was pretty much never injured and just used to rock up, take his jacket off, roll his sleeve up and bowl. He reckoned that fast bowling 6 days a week kept him fit.

Pompey is still on the south coast of England so I doubt it

Not enthused Whyte was better than average when he took us apart in Hull's 4-0 win at FP, and he's played 31 games in the championship and 30 internationals for N. Ireland. There is a decent player in there somewhere that we just havent seen yet. And the three you mention are all under contract so unless they choose to leave they don't have to go anywhere.

I was on the fence with Whyte but he was starting to grow on me. That was in League one though and he didn’t do it consistently enough.

He is now very average. If you take time and read posts properly I said Whyte Scully and Stevenson expect them to move on. I’m fully aware they’re under contract, did you think I was going to drop them off in a feckin Uber?Even JM has said he’s going to assess them during the TW. Stop being pedantic.

Not enthused It's not pedantic to point out that even if JM assesses them and says he wants rid of them and tells the world they are available they do not have to go anywhere if they don't want to. Getting rid of players you don't want is probably the hardest part of managing these days and you can't assume they will leave just because you say you don't want them.

Any player who has ambition to actually play will. No player wants to sit out games every week.
