I see they're 'pending charges' again, this time for some homophobic stuff.

What's wrong with them? We've always had the fan-base to make them nothing more than irritating, but I've seen them in action at lesser-supported clubs, like Watford in the 90's when I saw a load of middle-aged Millwall fans, most looking like Al Murray in trench-coats, hammering coins down from above on the Watford family stand. Nice.

Wonder why that particular area breeds tossers?

I don't think we have any right to criticise when we have Westwood and his nobbers and not one person in the FE has the minerals to sort them out

As a young man I remembered getting bushwacked on waterloo station.

Silly me had been to Watford and came back via waterloo, Millwar were everywhere, anyone going near the pompey rail platform were risking their  lives.
I took a few kicks and punches before jumping a barrier and getting on a scum bound train. Sad but preferable to a serious kicking from those nice chaps.

Same years later I witnessed another incident where a millwall fan learned the skill of heading a beer barre as it flew down the stairs in the toilets, not far from my earlier experience.

thats life...

I used to live and work in the Deptford New Cross area. Used to mingle a bit and as long as you were sensible there were no problems. It was more the Rotherhithe area where you had keep your wits about you or just generally avoid.
Millwall is one of the teams I keep an eye on.

Post subject should read "What's wrong with the media?"

A handful of arrests at a South London local derby in a crowd of 16,000 so not a big deal.

Remember the days when Pompey would take 2,000 to 5,000 to places like Reading, Oxford, Swindon and any London club and there would be dozens of arrests! OK, at Reading, there were references to 'Pompey Animals' in The News, but the national media never gave a monkeys!

Just like the many who claim they were in the 657 (I wasn't), there are many who use the Millwall name to hide behind. There's loads of t shirts in Russia with Millwall themes. I feel sorry for the club coz they can never get over that image and will always attract twets.
