Didn’t old Meaters kark it on stage a while back? Sounds like it’s for real this time, bless his old cotton socks.

I'm amazed considering the weight he carries and the way he runs around on stage that he has lasted this long,
Having said that, great entertainer and im digging out BOOH tonight.

If you haven't seen it check out the film 'The 51st State' too, very funny film, with Meatloaf, and a football link too

Not really getting this Meatloaf sentimental stuff. Was listening to Radio 5 this morning and it was like the queen had died or something - it went on and on. Ok, so I'm not a fan of musical theatre or overblown rock-opera/power ballad stuff but 74 is not an overly-surprising time to keel over, he was pretty overweight for much of his life and he was probably knackered. Personally I was more affected to hear of Ronnie Spector dying last week - 78 yet she was legendary.

If you haven’t got a good word to say about Meatloaf, perhaps it would be better not to post on a thread remembering him ffs.

That’s not you cancelling me is it Guff? Isn’t that against your freedom-loving, I-can-say-what-I-want ethos.
And anyway, since when has not having a good word to say about something stopped you. Other than those pesky Brexit-benefits of course - you’re quiet as a mouse on those.

Tuffers, I am starting think my good lady wife is posting in your name. She is never wrong and always has to have the last word!
No fan of Meatloaf, but amazed he reached 74 with his lifestyle choices. Fair play.

I liked him, have great memories of his music in the 80's. Always sad when a rock legend dies. RIP

I suppose he’s now a dead ringer for love.

When me and my mate passed our driving tests we blasted out the only 3 albums we had on cassette endlessly ... Bat out of Hell, Glass Houses by Billy Joel and Down to Earth by Rainbow, still love those albums
