Should've just gone down the confidence and supply route, but maybe those benefits given to the highest offices of state are too good to resist. No Chevening, no ministerial jag, no central seat in the cabinet office...

...I'm sure he's doing alright now though, best buds with Zuckerberg and rolling in it.

Following Fat Al's lead, he might have decided to try and fool all of the people (well 52% of them) all of the time.

I don't think Fat Al tries to fool anyone - he doesn't care, he thinks yesterday's fuck-up is tomorrows chip paper - that's been his experience since forever. Sunak, on the other hand, really seems to believe all these glossy photo opps, with the stage-managed art direction, he thinks they actually have some traction - but its the cheapest Hello magazine-style fakery. He's thinks he's the coolest dude in the cabinet but as soon as he's asked a challenging question - eg. your wife holds £500m worth of shares in a business embedded in Russia - and he falls apart like a wet lettuce.

Unfortunately he will probably get away with it. Millionaire Chancellor with billionaire wife shafts the lowest paid and the most disadvantaged but spins it as a tax reduction. His wife, through Infosys, continues to trade with the Putin regime while Rishi hides the whereabouts of his millions in a blind trust. Until the gullible grow tired of these types continuously taking the piss out of them and stop tugging their forelocks, we're stuck with them.

I do find it quite amusing as you lot moan and bitch about the current, incompetent government, which YOU gave a massive majority in the last election.   Your leader at the time being a multi millionaire, living in a london mansion type who would fit in nicely with the kind of tory  you are laughing at.

Apres election you put a lame duck wimp in the top spot of labour, ignoring the far better candidates currently in the shadow cabinet.

Get some positivity chaps (i know that's a banned word for one of you} put a modern day maggie at the helm and you might just get some sort of result in the next vote, I might even vote for her myself.

You’re not making any sense ‘Brian’, Corbyn lives in a 1960s three bedroom terrace off the Seven Sisters Road.

And maybe you need reminding that Thatcher’s policies, though a goldmine for your generation, totally fubarred the country for every following generation. In every 100 years there can only be one Thatcher, there’s nothing left for the others to sell off.

Mind you she wouldn't have taken us out of the EU - she might have been a callous piece of shit, but she wasn't gullible or stupid.

Jeeze you lot are thick. cobyn cost you any chance of winning the last election and you will be making the same mistake if stammer leads you into the next one,

Spme promising women near the top of the labour party you should use them and never forget the power of the (l),

Hope this simplifies my message for the feeble of thinking and alchys.

Me thinks the tide is turning to those that take a sensible moral approach. All parties would do well to remember that at the next election.

"Me thinks the tide is turning to those that take a sensible moral approach"

I think you're right, which is why I think we're about to see johnson fire up the chaos advantage again - he can't win a sensible debate - so he's going to re-ignite the anti-EU rhetoric and get people all frothy. The current position of Northern Ireland being in the UK but also with a foot in the EU is supposedly working ok for them right now, so the Tories are about to trigger Article 16 and create a trade war with the EU. johnson can only paper over previous disasters with newer, fresher disasters.
