What would you replace "government" with then
'Nothing' Time for people to grow up, stand on their own two feet, and watch how much better the world would be. Ah back to the strong taking advantage of the weak. War lords an all that

Government = Warlords
military, economic, and political control. Only problem is people think they are there to help them. LMAO The problem is government, everything they do F*cks the public over, for the gains of the few. "Lil’Mix, you keep expending all your time and energy on unicorns and rainbows" I am not the one on this message board all day every day. Lmao And as for "unicorns and rainbows" re-joining the EU, and your commie wet dream..... Who believes in "unicorns and rainbows". Mug!.

The difference being I’m here long enough to give the Brexity-types a reminder of their folly and then I’m off to real life for the rest of the day.

You do, just like you do now, scrap the government, scrap all the taxes. Watch how much better a free market, with no government aiding sum company's and not others does. The government just aides monopolies. No Government, No War. You would have far more of your own money left......

Without government you’d have anarchy and chaos. The only people with any personal wealth would be the strong and the crims. It would be every man for himself and sod the weak and the sick. There has to be some kind of order, the only question is which type of order.

You’re forgetting the free-market bit, Bill - he’s a neo-lib anarchist. Is that a thing?
Maybe, he’s a ‘Sovereign Individual’. Which is really just a new take on age-old feudalism.
What ALOFB. Turmoil, brutality and war would reign.
Money? The banks wouldn't exist. Your cryptocurrency would be worthless. Descend into the Reds, Whites and anarchists of the Russian civil war. Look how well that turned out for the world! Created Putin, Xi and North Korea... But as long as you're OK the rest of the world can go to hell, literally. FI!

Government is essential to us and our way of life, without it we do not live we merely exist! We get the Government we vote for, the fact that we have what we have is our own fault. Politically we stand at a crossroads. Which future road we take will dictate wether our democracy grows and evolves or withers and is replaced by totalitarianism. At a time when the whole concept of individualism is under attack from many quarters, we would do well to contemplate our choices wisely.

In a true free market, the market decides what money is.
And government is just a middleman in a transaction for services, and what we have now is sucking the life out of this country, just look around. It's all going to pot. Government is there to keep the status quo, the banks creating the money and the working man running on the wheel but never getting anywhere. "It would be every man for himself and sod the weak and the sick." Is this what happens today?. even when people have no money 'No' people are kind and have a heart. rulers want you to think only they could look after the weak. Just think how much money is wasted buy government?, could you spend that tax money better?, I think so.

"Money? The banks wouldn't exist. Your cryptocurrency would be worthless."
There are 3 types of real money.... Gold Silver Copper And this is what we had pre 1947 Paper currency was nothing more then a receipt, of gold holdings in the bank. As for cryptocurrency digital illusions of wealth. No thanks!. The term for money in a lot of country's is Silver...

No no no no, that means country's (sic) without precious metal mineral deposits are immediately at a disadvantage.
And cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology really do have the potential to replace traditional banking and finance. At the moment I think it needs inordinate amounts of processing power, which favours places with cheap electricity like Iceland. But if the system is truly decentralised, it doesn't really matter where the servers are. I suppose... Why am I debating with ex75? Well I think these things need to be said.

Lil'Mix's focus on precious metals and the free market would make the DRC the world's most desirable place to live. Just imagine that scaled up globally.

Pre 1947. The gold standard was abandoned by 1930's, with the General Strike and Great Depression. It was reintroduced, to a limited level post WW2 when it was basically linked to the US Dollar. Again, abandoned early 1970's. I think we're all aware of how money works and how it is exchanged for goods or services etc.
All 3 metals are amongst many commodities used in local and international trade. I'll stick with our current system, just my debit card and money, and not walk around with a hand cart of precious metal, wheat, water and the occasional pig etc. In your anarchial system who would control what one bushel of wheat is worth etc. Medieval at best! Who guards the worlds nuclear weapons, after all this needs to be on an international scale, asking each country to give up their state sovereignty? Good luck on that one! Employing your system what international institutions do you use to bring about this new world order? Who polices and administers it? And all this without war and conflict? As I said civil war, at best, similar to Russian, and where we are now, with Putin et al. Thank fuck we had a Glorious Revoltion and went through 'Enlightenment'. I'd rather understand and learn from history and not pursue a reckless political philosophy. Both Bush and Blair chose to ignore history and look what happened there! International Anarchy is a non-starter. Thanks but no thanks.

Banks and their control of the flow of money has to change as it is a contributing factor in the centralisation of power and the way that power erodes democracy.
02-05-2022, 01:31 PM
And the answer to the world problems for a few of you on here is what??.
More government control and power. How has that worked out so far??.

Pre 1947. The gold standard was abandoned by 1930's,
Go and find your old English coins pre 1947 they are 50% silver or copper. Pre 1920s silver coins are sterling silver 92.5%. "I'll stick with our current system, just my debit card and money, and not walk around with a hand cart of precious metal" One gold Sovereign coins is worth £377 And about the same size as a penny Dimensions: Diameter: 22.05 mm; Thickness: 1.52mm If you have a cart of them ![]() "wheat, water and the occasional pig etc. In your anarchial system who would control what one bushel of wheat is worth etc. Medieval at best!" It's called a 'free market'. "Who guards the worlds nuclear weapons" No one, only government want to kill unending numbers of people, avg joe has no interested in 'Nuclear war'. |
