Starmer's 'party' was in September after lockdown restrictions had been lifted.   Not that the tory rags bothered to report that.

Deep, there are actually two events the tories are using against Starmer. The first one is one bottle of beer during an election planning meeting; the second one was the birthday cake in September 2020.

The first was investigated by the police, who concluded there was no case to answer, the second, as you say was at a time when there were no lockdown restrictions.

The Daily Mail have run these two non-stories as front page splashes all week, even on the day when a tory mp is forced to resign for watching porn in the HoC - they’re rattled.
