I have lived here all my life. I have never heard anyone say I am going down the 'city'. If you are coming to the southern part of the City. We all say we are going down the 'town'.....


Unless you don't live here??.

If you asked people from Hilsea, Cosham, Paulsgrove and Wymering. Where is Portsea, Somers Town, Buckland or Southsea. They would say down the Town!!.

All of the areas are the 'City'. But only sum are down 'Town'.
