Only one thing more boring than an international break - an international break and England losing. Kind of makes the whole thing even more of a waste of time.
As for Qatar, it's a sham tournament arranged via multiple kick-backs and shameless corruption. I shan't be buying into the media hype that's already starting and hope that England exit at the earliest opportunity.

If a wet fart was a person.... it would look like Gareth Southgate.
The Queens more alive..... And before you start that's not a conspiracy theory..

All go in the Soft as Fuck XI.

and to make an international break worse we arrange a game to keep the players busy. Should just play or at worst rearrange a midweek cup game for Saturday when we only play the stiffs anyway! Would also allow those who struggle to get tickets to take the family!

I didn't know we played today. That settles whether it was Raggett I saw at Gunwharf earlier - it wasn't.

Something has definitely gone wrong with the England team and Gareth Southgate. Could it be the after effects of losing the Euros final?

not a single acknowledgment of the premier league import of foreign players reducing the pool of top level experienced players to choose from?

England only need 22. They now play at a much higher level than they used to. Not as big a negative as you might think.

Southgate is so boring, when he walks through the graveyard, the dead rise and walk off.
I bet his misses was thankful the rabbit got invented , Or she would have never been happy!!.. NOT ONCE.

Happy to acknowledge his hidden talents when he wins something but on performance to date probably won't have to, but looking forward to his triumphs against the footballing giants of Iran, USA and Wales in November.

You don't fluke getting to a major final and semi final, the bloke's got enough credit in the bank to sort things out.
I didn't think England played too badly the other night actually, not sure there's a real need for panic.

Players had hardly any rest after the Euro final in July, several not playing for their clubs because they are woefully out of form.1
Hardly surprising if you mix the above together, that performances are what they are. Very little time to put things right, we may get through the group stage but not much further I'm afraid.

Couldn’t give a shit what happens in these games, they are basically friendlies. All that matters is we qualify for tournaments and turn up.

By not putting Ivan Toney in the match squad and still playing the likes of Kane and Maquire spoke volumes about Southgate.

Mount finally delivers in an England shirt.
Maguire is a defender that you bring on if at all to waste time in 90th min. Culpable whether we like it or not for two goals tonight. When he plays England can not control a game of football. If only we had a Bonucci or such type. We used to be blessed with defenders in the centre but Southgate has a problem there. Webster would be a better bet than maguire, he can play football at least.

Southgate uses these games to experiment. Only the big tournaments matter.
28-09-2022, 07:46 AM
Southgate is our second most successful England manager of all time. I think he’s earned the right to do it his way. Would still prefer to see Maguire sitting at home and Toney given some proper game time, but it’s his call, let him get on with it.
28-09-2022, 09:29 AM
Trouble with dropping Maguir is that her consistently produces in major tournaments - and scores goals!

You would drop Harry Kane? The third highest ever Prem scorer, 51 goals in 75 England games, 6 goals in 7 club games this season. |
