It will be interesting to see where his money comes from? Is it his or the wider family/business?

Yes he is the son of Margaritta, and she has an estimated wealth of $5.6Billion Dollars.

They seem pretty excited about it on the Sunderland board.

From the film "The Pink Panther, it was the first to feature the Clouseau character as the protagonist of the film, investigating a murder. This film marked the first appearance of many of the tropes and supporting characters long associated with the series, including Commissioner Dreyfus (portrayed by Herbert Lom), his assistant François (portrayed by André Maranne), and Clouseau's manservant, Cato (portrayed by Burt Kwouk). It also co-starred Elke Sommer, George Sanders,"

Ah, I read Clouseau and thought Cousteau, at which point my puny brain went pop

So the good lady Dreyfus has c. 4 times the wealth of our own owner, Michael Eisner.
I very much doubt that they will only ‘eat what they kill’

Well, that's a relief. After today's performance, I just realised we had Clouseau and Cato in charge all along.
