Not the greatest game of the season, but a valuable three points badly needed. Watched on iFollow as I'm currently 6000 miles away, but here's my view on individual performances (feel free to comment, as you surely will):
Oluwayemi, 8 - made two outstanding saves, kicking better than last game and gaining experience all the time. If we can't sign Macey at the end of the season, I'd be happy to see him given a go.
Rafferty, 7 - considering how little he's played in recent months, a good solid performance.
Raggett, 7 - better game today, got most things in the air as always. Not a captain though.
Towler, 7 - not his best game, but beginning to make a good partnership with Raggett.
Ogilvie, 7 - a bit quiet by his normal high standard, but excellent cross that led to the goal.
Lane, 6 - didn't realise he was playing until after an hour, bit disappointing today
Morrell 9, - MOTM by a country mile, ran everywhere, kept the ball better than anyone else, skilful for sure.
Thompson, 7 - bit quiet today, didn't seem as fit as last Saturday.
Dale, 8 - usual story of lots of energy, and today made several almost-decent crosses. Turn them into fully-decent crosses and he'll be worth his place every week.
Bishop, 7 - A couple of decent shots, a couple of poor ones. Can't complain about not getting crosses into him, just not his day,
Hackett, 8 - Decent game, lots of skill, getting better each time he has a decent amount of time on the pitch
Subs:
Piggott - Not on long enough to warrant a mark, but kudos for the header down for Scarlett's goal.
Jacobs, 7 - A few good runs
Scarlett, 7 - Didn't do much - except score the goal and that was really well taken.
Tunnicliffe, 7 - Provided some good energy when he came on.
Manager, 8 - earning his trade (they all have to at one point in their career!) and yippee is playing players in their right positions. Good use of subs, particularly playing with three up front at the end realising three points were still there for the taking.
Ref, 8 - Kept the game flowing, might have booked a couple more Burton players a bit earlier, but credit where it's due he was much better than the usual dross we're used to.
Final thought: Going to be interesting selection problems if/when Curtis, Lowrey, Pack are all fit!
