Ex, this is so fucking easy - and you know why? because you're on the wrong side of history. There's no profit in flags or statues or the national anthem or any of that jingoistic crap. At the end of the day, profit wins - profit always wins - and there's no profit in Brexit. That's it. In a nutshell.

Guess who said this:
"Britain’s continued membership of the EU would be a boon for the world and for Europe. This is a market on our doorstep, ready for further exploitation by British firms. The membership fee seems rather small for all that access. Why are we so determined to turn our back on it?”

That was boris johnson's other column for the Telegraph, the one he didn't send to print after calculating that siding with the Leavers was his best route to being Prime Minister, of course he was also calculating that the VoteLeave vote would fail. And here we are.

If it was so fecking easy why are we no longer in the EU then Tuffers?

The EU’s recent antics over NI and trying to first trash the Astrazenica vaccine, then ban exports of it, have shown the EU for the shabby, protectionist, bullying, organisation that it is.

As for profits, most of those are being made in the emerging economies that we are now able to trade freely with.

Leaving the EU will turn out to be the best decision we ever made.

I see the clowns haven’t even ratified the deal yet. We should give them a deadline, then do what we should have done in the first place, tell them to whistle for the billions of Euros they have extorted our of us.

There are growing calls within the bloc for countries to ditch the disastrous Euro and a growing list of ‘Leave’ supporters.

I’ll be on the right side of history methinks. Smile

Yeah let'em have it Gaffer, give em a fookin deadline the coonts,  don't they know who they're dealing with here? Who fookin won them the war in the first place?

However, when we calm down, look at the facts and remove the smoke from our eyes, we'll see that the clowns haven't signed because our even bigger clown is threatening to break international law (again) over Northern  Ireland.  Now Johnson may have been able to get away with his lies and deception when is was at public school or working as a third rate journalist but he's now finding out that his bluff and brinkmanship doesn't work outside this country.  When our own PM levels with us over this  Gaffer, you'll get your ratification.

This looks like the first round of Gaff's Illogical Fallacies©.

"There are growing calls within the bloc for countries to ditch the disastrous Euro and a growing list of ‘Leave’ supporters."
Nope, that's just not true:  Pew Research and here too: Not more facts

Oh and why are we out of the EU? because people chose to believe liars because it made them feel good, is probably the simplest reason. Before moving house last year, our nextdoor neighbours were a couple, he was English, she was French. They sold up and now live in the South of France - they're looking back at this country like some collective madness has taken hold of it. People in the EU are horrified by what we've become, and they certainly don't want to follow us.

Gaff, lockdown is now over (just for a few weeks probably), turn off the internet, go outside and talk to some real people.

Well Tuffers, I never accepted the lockdown in the first place, so I’ve been talking to real people all along  Smile . I’ve been out and about the whole time and people have a much more realistic view of the EU than they had before the COVID thing.

It’s a disaster and we are well out of it.

So if you have, as you say, been out and about talking to real people who share your view of leaving the EU, I'm guessing by now you'll have a big long list of all the great things we have now that we've left.

List them.

It seems there are lots of people ‘out and about’, for Gaffer to talk to.

I doubt that would include anybody in the health or education services. One would question what level of intelligence these ‘people’ have that have a total disregard for the virus situation.

Like attracts like, I suppose.

It would seem these people Gaff has been "out and about with" haven't attempted to sell anything to anyone outside of these shores now that we have 'achieved' third country status.

Package sent from UK - France. Product price: £24.
French recipient receives bill for £42 before it will be delivered (£28 customs charge, £14 handling fee)
Apparently this charge does not differentiate between business selling and personal gifting - the charges are universal.

Didn't johnson promise a tarrif-free, buccaneering UK enterprise? Seems like unless you're a multi-million pound business already or able to port your business to within the Eurozone, you're hamstrung selling to UK customers only.

This period we're living through is total madness, and Covid is convenient cover.

Oh well done tuffers you’ve just explained why I was charged an extra $100.00 when I bought some clobber from England on the internet because I’m a right trendy coont.
I got a text from DHL saying I had to pay or they couldn’t deliver ffs thats the first time that’s ever happened when I’ve got stuff from UK.
I’ll make sure if anyone sends me stuff they say it’s worth fook all like I do when I send stuff to UK.

I hope this info helps dsmg for when he needs to re-order his boots with the scaffolding on the outside I bet those fvckers are expensive.

Yup, goes the other way too - I tried to buy a shirt in the sale at APC, because I am also a right trendy coont, and they wouldn't sell it to me because it was less than £130 and not worth the hassle. In twelve months time we'll all be walking out looking like Gaff. Elasticated trousers and polyester shirts.

Beige elastic waistband trousers are were it’s at, going for the darker beige is better for hiding the urine stains when you leak down your leg. Works well with my Lacoste Zimmer frame and my fila colostomy bag.

Not sure a poster needs to be clever to recognise a pathetic attempt at making a joke about disability. And, let's be honest, only a sadsack with a massive inferiority complex would do such a thing these days.

You're not right and definitely not trendy......

That's not something I have experienced. I do live in France and I have bought stuff from UK. If the proper customs declaration is filled in and adhered to the outside, there should be no problem.

Well the eu are in a tiz now.

What the msm call far right groups (I would call them middle of the road) from Poland Hungary and Italy uniting to become the second biggest group in the eu parliament.

They want sovereignty, self identity and many other things that lefties will hate.

Come in eu, your time is up.

The EU hierarchy cannot be considered “leftie”, certainly not in the true Socialist sense . They are federalists first and foremost and federalists will always favour big business over the common man.

I think the Poles, Magyars and Italians are going to be pretty pissed off when they find out their not actually part of sovereign States. When are you thinking of breaking it to them Muschi?
