I wonder which gym the ex-man goes to? It might be my gym! What a horrible thought!

I don't play golf though so I'm safe there.

I wouldn't worry scouse he'll only be there in a cleaning capacity.  They won't let him anywhere near the members.

They let him play 9 holes once a month on his own, dressed in plus fours and a monocle and dragging his rusty irons and Col Blimp gammy leg behind him. Oh how they laugh.

Yes, been a member of a well known gym for the last 15 yrs, had golf last Tuesday, next Monday & Fruday and another couple already planned for the end of the month.

While I enjoy life, not working, plenty of travel & leisure time you just keep grating burger flippers, the fat bas***** need you !!!

No surprise Tuffers Duffers  gets it utterly wrong again - "your course" -   I'm not a golf club member anywhere so how can any be that  Huh

To put you straight  I  just play golf at random courses within a c50 mile radius of Portsmouth-  downland, woodland, parkland, links etc- after all "variety is the spice of life".

My nascent golf career ended when I nearly killed John Salako at Warwick with one of my famous hooks. Haven’t played since. ?

Read what I said slowly. I WAS A KID!!!!!!.
"I know he's son Jody as a kid Vic had a arm wrestling table in the beacon at Paulsgrove shops."

"Which one of Vics brothers drove a bus, which one wore glasses, whcich one was a bricklayer, and who was the youngest?
Who was the landlord of the Beacon when it got rioted?
Who smashed the news fellas camera outside the Plover?"

The beacon shut when I was about 10. I can tell by what you are asking, you are an old man.
I am younger then Jody......

I when to King Richards school, till the late 90s.
Why the fuck would I make up that I grow up in Paulsgrove you melt. I wish it was Drayton.

The last proof I will give you Hillside youth club was run by

Tuffs I am in general agreement with you over Brexit and it's negative impact on the country in so many ways. However we have to be careful about massaging the figures to support the argument. £31bn lost trade is not necessarily a bigger cost to the country than £9.7bn in payments. Only taxes, profits, wages generated by that trade are relevant. Very hard to know what that means to the country.

“ shove ha’penny league”  Big Grin Of the many games played in public houses, that is probably the only one I’ve never played. Big hands and little coins on a confined playing area is not conducive to my mental well being.

Well, yep but then we also need to remember that the figure of £9.7bn was our net contribution to the EU. That sum didn’t get directly funnelled over to the smaller economies, it was our ‘buy-in’ as a membership fee. And that membership brought with it regional grants, scientific grants, business collaborations and a million more tax receipts from ease of trade.

Our Gross Contribution to the European Useless budget was almost double £9.7bn Duffers : only the rebate we received and some of the things you named above brought it down to £9.7bn.

Gross contribution is £14.4bn - hardly 'almost double' - its actually less than half that.

and then there's this bit:
"The UK’s net contribution shouldn’t be confused with an assessment of the overall economic benefit, or cost, to the UK of EU membership. The net contribution simply looks at the direct flows of contributions to the EU Budget from the UK and spending, or receipts, from the EU to the UK. It doesn’t, for instance, consider benefits to UK businesses from being in the EU’s single market."

If you want to continue your argument, you're going to have to put your dull golf on hold a couple of weeks and untangle all the figures.

I hear you use a mop handle tied to a pooper scooper as a pitching wedge.

Ex, showing off about golf clubs to people who think golf is shit is not the the impressive thing you think it is. Personally, I like photographing dead golf courses and I also like the constructed, artificial landscape of them, but that’s where my interest ends.
