Nobody has mentioned whether - maybe - there was any affect on the Pompey performance from Seasonal celebrations?
We know that John M would have trusted them all to do the right thing, and I am unaware as to :
a) whether they travelled down to Bristol on Christmas Day and stayed overnight , or
b) whether they were at home. and travelled down on Boxing Day morning.
I have watched some Pompey teams in days of Yore and have seen then die on their feet, at FP after about 10 minutes - 70's games come to mind - and maybe as a result of the yuletide gladness !
However, I do not think that this was the reason for failure in the last two games. Lady Luck seems to have deserted us a bit , and key players have gone down in their overall performance, But these things work in cycles, and I am still confident that this is our promotion season.
We are still in charge of our own destiny, and I have a good feeling that we will a lot more cheerful on Saturday morning .
