Firstly I’d like to say a big well done to the recruitment team so far. This has certainly been a much more successful January window than the past few seasons.
However, I still can’t help feeling we need a pacy, experienced striker to challenge Bishop and give a different dimension going forward. Easier said than done I know but we still look very pedestrian on the break, although Lang looked fantastic last night.
My biggest fear is that should Bishop and/or Yengi get injured we don’t have anybody else who can play up front. The final 5 games of the season are going to be particularly tough and you need options.
Bolton have 4 strikers and are after more, so are Derby and Peterborough. All these teams have true pace going forward and strength in depth. Not to mention Barnsley, Oxford and Stevenage.
Heres hoping for one more striker before 11pm tomorrow ?
