I don’t blame him for leaving the desolation of anywhere north of Winchester.

We're in for a barrel of laughs if he is any relation to Max Wall*
*Only the " Old Goats" on here will know that name ![]()
I’m certain that most on here have got less hair

Not a good start to the new job

Would be fair to say he has cocked up.

Can't judge youngsters on their first season.
22-10-2024, 10:20 PM
True but this is the only season that matters and we have a bunch of unknown youngsters all thrown in together to play championship football. It’s madness.i am confident that Blair, lane, Sorensen and McIntyre have no future. Why should we suffer just to see if some youngsters are any good? Recruitment team should hang their heads in shame I think. Anyway.. I’m probably just sounding off after a few pints.. on to Friday…PUP

Paddy could be a decent sub, his finishing was the best in the team for much of last season, but he needs to be played in his best position, not pushed around to make space for loans.
22-10-2024, 10:31 PM
Agreed. On the subject of recruitment.. who was responsible for Sorensen? He looks totally out of his depth. I don’t think he can play at any level in this country.
23-10-2024, 05:21 AM
I would ask who was responsible for picking him to play last night.
23-10-2024, 05:27 AM
I missed this appointment of Wall who replaced Phil Boardman.
His CV looks impressive at a glance but he has only had small roles in those big name clubs, never been a head of recruitment - 'perfomance analyst', 'Northern UK scout for Man City'......hmmmmm. As for Sorensen, he looks increasing like a panic buying in the wake of Colby's heart-op news.

Doesn't matter who is head of recruitment, you just got to know how to use a computer these days, bunch of nerds with university degrees.
Judging by the signings we've made,we obviously don't use starlizard

It’s mostly budget led. Maybe with our budget this is the best that we can afford. Even God couldn’t but Messi for a quid!
23-10-2024, 09:14 AM
Jamel lowe instead of shitvera and Blair? Quality over quantity.
24-10-2024, 01:25 PM
Did anyone really get aroused when all those signings were made in the close season ? Panic buying at its best . What the hell did anyone see in Sorensen , silvera, Williams, Blair and so on . Beggars belief
24-10-2024, 01:37 PM
Williams in particular, feel like we were sold the emperor's new clothes when told he was an upgrade on Rafferty.
Sorenson looks like he won a raffle, and Blair is a downgrade on Courtney Pitt. Silvera has been poor but there's at least glimpses that he could become a footballer. Just not now.

Beggars belief Spot on moosh, when they hadn't signed more than 4 players by the time of the Croatia pre-season trip it appears that panic buying set in. It would have been far better to have used the transfer budget on 8 quality players than 13/15 of which well over half are totally inexperienced/out of their depth.

Beggars belief And when it gets to March / April and we got do or die relegation games on our hands , can you honestly see that lot being up for it ? Nope , nor me. At least Raggett , Rafferty and Morrell to name a few would have given their all for the cause but were deemed not good enough . Well the new lot have proved that they are just not to the desired standard. Absolute shit show of a recruitment drive

league one yes.. championship I am seriously doubtful. McIntyre might come good after his long lay-off but lane arrived this season full of confidence and looks lightweight and with little to offer. I admit he needs to play in his best position but as Murphy is above him in the pecking order that's a problem for him and he's hopeless behind the striker. Hope I'm wrong but time will tell.. PUP

Sorensen being ex Newcastle scans correctly with Wall being northern focused
24-10-2024, 04:56 PM
Lane is better on the right and it’s his favoured position. He’s still to show some decent form yet though.
I like McIntyre more and more. He was one of the few who actually tried to move the ball forward against Cardiff. |
