The best thing about that is that those three cost a combined transfer fee of not a fucking sausage.

The only really significant award is the players player of the season award. It reflects the views of those you have played with all season and have seen the totality of your contribution.
The other awards are based on the views of sponsors, ‘experts’, fans etc. Even the fans player of the year award is a bit meaningless as half the people voting don’t know much about football. You only have to look at some of the laughable criticism of Raggett to see that. Actual trophies and the accolades of your fellow players I think are the most treasured by players. The rest of it is just window dressing.

We seem to be nominated at least for a lot of these boring off field awards which must be a good sign.

fans awards are too biased towards clubs with most fans too.

Mous named league 1 manager of the season too. Well done gaffer!
The management and team have been brilliant this season!

Am pleased for the 3 players and Mous - it's always good to get this type of recognition.
However, why the fcuk are the EFL staging this awards night before the season has finished and it's ridiculous to expect the players to go to London for the evening when they have a massive match to play on Tuesday! ![]() • dsmg, foxleyblue, mikey393, Rocketman, Trarchus

I tried watching this and gave up. They'd do one or two awards then break for half an hour. Fucking boring.

Only 37 years of age as well is the Mous. It's a real eye opener about getting old when the players are all younger than you. Now a lot of the managers are younger than me too.

Nipper! You must be the youngest on this board by about 25 years!

Mous is the first young/first time manager to make a success of Pompey in my life time. All previous attempts have been dire and or boring. Craggy faces were usually required for success. |
