Their player Bae is one of the best players I’ve seen so far this season. We’ve got zero creativity in the team and nothing in the squad that looks like giving us any (Lang maybe the exception).

What must Devlin and Moxon be thinking? If they can't even get in the match day squad they are either seriously shit or being seriously misjudged.

I never thought I'd be relieved to get away with just a 6-1 hammering!
Hey ho time to take it on the chin, learn whatever needs to be learned from it, hold our nerve and move on. Anyway that's enough clichés I'm off for a kebab ![]() • BilltheCat, Cunninglinguist, foxleyblue, Jeff Hemmermans Perm, mikey393, Rescue Dog, Sharpe*

I couldn’t agree more . At least Moxons got a goal in him unlike the rest of our goal shy squad

Those fans deserve a refund from the players pocket.

Are we that bad?
No! I’m gonna stop bleating on about this travesty of a performance and sleep on it. Well done Stoke, fantastic performance. Credit where it’s due.

Devlin especially, would be a better bet away from home than the likes of Blair who is no doubt very good but does not offer enough defensively, identically Silvero. Both luxuries for the expanded bench but not as starters.

I agree, especially with Blair, who seemed way out of his depth in this div.

We are powderpuff - I’m pretty concerned after that.

An invisible defensive midfield
A,disorganised CB display Weak RB and LB Atrocious goal keeping display A LOT to fix Murphy had a decent game at least.

As soon as they came in our half they had an unchallenged run to the edge of the penalty area. As we don't have anyone with creativity, stick Saydee up front to try and keep the ball up there for a bit while stuffing the midfield with Moxon, Potts, Devlin, Shockers, Pack. Players with some substance.

Mous: "I think the biggest positive is that it finished six. That level of performance is unacceptable."

Shocking to think what it might have been without that factor. I see the local Stoke paper has it as a "Seven-goal Thriller!" I think that's very flattering to our contribution to the 'thriller'. More like a 'chiller' to me. Why did so many players including Mr Reliable - Marlon Pack - under perfom to such a horrifying degree? Was the gamble to play Poole again after so long out a game too far? Norris' form has been excellent lately. How can he go from such a zenith to such as nadir in a few days? There are so many questions that are difficult to answer and I see Mousinho himself is as baffled as the rest of us. It's easy to point to squad quality, budget spent or team selections as the reason for such an abject performance but none seem to offer a satisfactory reason for what happened last night. One thing is for sure, Oxford won't be any easier. They know they face an injured animal that will fly out of the dressing room with all guns blazing and will prepare for that. |
