The management team have completely underestimated the championship all over the pitch. What were they thinking in terms of recruitment. This nonsense of up and coming talent with no reserve team is ridiculous.
We could be miles adrift in January with little chance of recruiting any quality.

I don't for a second think this team will be the same team to play the last game of the season. Money absolutely will be thrown at this

2nd best all over the pitch tonight against a team who are just above us in physicality and mental toughness.
It’s sickening to me that they thought that they could be competitive in this league with this squad.

The 25 man squad limit starts again  at end of Jan transfer window - there is a huge amount of players going to have to be shipped out or contracts paid up to turn this around.

No half decent player is going to want to join us if we are still struggling at the bottom so Tornante will just carry on with sustainable recruitment.

I'm really struggling to stay positive as it stands.

We are just not good enough - bordering on embarrassing.

I am now far from convinced that this manager will be in charge for that last game of the season unless he ditches his stubbornness over a midfield two very quickly indeed.

1) it could be too late by then.

2) the transfer window just gone has proven to have been nothing short of a disaster. Barring Murphy, none of the new signings have improved us in any position. Not replacing Bishop properly is the biggest mistake I think. I also question getting rid of Rafferty for Williams. Maybe Rafferty isn't any better than Williams but he was a big character in the dressing room last season on top of a steady enough right back.

The only positive from tonight is the replacement keeper who prevented another hiding.
Very poor all over the pitch, relegation an absolute certainty on this form.

We already have an excess amount of players to get rid of before we could even get the space to sign anybody.

Get rid of the pl u23 fodder would be helpful.

There will be major changes in January if it's Not too late by then.

I can't see the owners spending big as it's against their sustainabilty beliefs.

You've just got to hope that what cash they have is spent wisely.

Not sure I agree with the barring Murphy bit.

I posted before that whenever we have been promoted, almost every manager has been sacked during or after a season of struggle. We always kept most of the team together and had enough to stay up. This time we've ripped the team apart and not built a new one.
We re not defending as a team and that is the first thing that needs addressing. With a struggling attack, we have have have to keep some clean sheets and work really hard on attacking set pieces. At present we look a mess and open to opponents attack down the middle and their left wing especially.

Absolutely correct. Start at the back and build from there.

The manager that some were shitting themselves being poached elsewhere? Give him a chance, he's new to all this and we're only 9 games in, if he is half decent and things start to gel then happy days

I don’t blame JM he can only play the cards he’s been dealt. It was our shit summer recruitment that’s at fault. We’re worse off talent wise than last season. We needed solid steady championship players to build on , not lower league hopefuls.

Nobody is forcing JM to play Pack whose legs have clearly gone. At least give the other younger lads a go to see if things improve. At the moment it’s like we are whipping a dead horse in centre mid. Centre mid in my opinion is the most important part of the park. Lose the middle of the park and 9 times out of 10 you lose the game

If you look at our squad, I really don’t think we have any genuine championship players, they are not physically strong enough and most lack pace and a decent touch under pressure.
Lane, miles out of his depth
Pack looks like the pressure has got to him after a half decent start
The whole back 4 are definitely not good enough
The lad from Brighton is not ready for this level yet
The lad from Denmark is a div 1 player at best
Murphy has gone missing and has been disappointing
Ritchie is nowhere near the player he was at Swindon and Bournemouth let alone Newcastle
The lad from Liverpool,  maybe a few years time
The keepers are all pretty hapless
Moxon ???
Devlin???
Lang has done okay
The manager  can only work with what he’s got and he’s been let down by the owners financially.
It can only happen to Pompey
