Joe Laidlaw was well past it when he played for Pompey, but he had younger legs around him, whilst he provided the class.

The problem is partially also the class. There were some passes last night that were just into nowhere. Head down, speculative scoop, possession lost.

Sadly I have to agree. There was a reason Cardiff, a Championship club, sold him.

He could be the senior pro on and off the pitch but can no longer be expected to play weekends and midweek. Unless we are prepared to start Kamara, there does not seem an obvious understudy for him.

Well never mind that he needs to be permanently dropped from the starting 11 if we are to stand a chance of staying up

Dropped. Tactically I think he is out of his depth but the one thing this manager continues to impress me with his willingless to do what must be done with underperformances
