After enduring the shocking showing last evening we have very more questions than answers and , no doubt, many suggestions will follow on our forum.

Marlon PACK he stood out in the first half as very, very  slow  - distressingly bad passing - and not looking at all equipped to captain our team at this level.

Please John M take him out of the firing line for Friday .... and replace him with SHAUGNESSY perhaps , if he is still here ? Where is he exactly he did seem to put in a shift.

Similarly what about MOXON ? where is he ...ditto ...ditto above!

Finally, it does seem surprising that the very credible EISNERS's allowed us to come into the season and not replacing very important players.

However no team gets RELEGATED in OCTOBER and there is still very much hope for the season - Friday make it count POMPEY!"

Shaughnessy for Pack?
As much as Pack needs resting/dropping....that is not the answer (even if Shaughnessy was fit...which he won't be for some time)

Shockers is out injured for next 4/6 weeks.

Tornante/ Eisners gave RH/JM the budget but it has been squandered on 13 players  (instead of 8 quality), many with potential but not Championship ready.

Cardiff said "Pack your bags" over 2 yrs ago as he was not able to perform at mid table Championship quality any more. Moose is  expecting him over two years later at 33+ to perform at a higher standard - it isn't going to happen ( same with Ritchie).

Cardiff clearly vindicated in that decision last night. It was borderline abusive what they were doing to Pack. He needs time that you don't get at this level.

Thinking back, who did we have at that position in the 2nd tier.
Micky Kennedy, Kuhl there must have been others, who was alongside Prosinecki??
Looks like the number one for January is a non stop running type who can tackle and lay off the ball and crucially a bit younger.

Quashie and Barrett alongside Prosinecki.

Our central midfield through the 90s was always the weak point (Macca excepted).

Hillier. Rees. McGrath.

Only Martin Allen added any quality and his injury record would be more suited to the last couple of seasons.

Moxon is probably the best box to box midfielder we’ve got. Pack is more of a deep playmaker, although as suggested I feel this season maybe too much for him. It was really only Atcher, Devlin and Saydee that deserve any credit from last nights debacle. Also, it seemed pretty obvious that Yengi seems devoid of any decent pace.

Well Moxon has been completely shit canned by JM so I can’t really see him going from told he’s not even in the playing squad to he’s starting the next match. Not sure JM is capable of swallowing his pride and admitting he was wrong that much. Maybe he could do that a little bit but not that much. Doesn’t seem to be that sort of bloke anyway, not many managers are, they all have their favourites and ones they don’t like quite as much and those for whatever reason rightly or wrongly they loathe completely

I certainly felt that Moxon was going to grow into a decent Championship player.

Give the lad Moxon a chance. He’s earned it

My son has just got in touch, talking with PFC work colleagues this morning in London.

I hope they are wrong but apparently seem to feel some disquiet about certain players bottling it when the going gets tough - ie going away to the bench)! . ( X rated replies will be censored no doubt)

At least he's got a tackle and a shot in him. And he can run.
