So Hull becomes a massive game which we need to take some thing from. They aren’t in the best form either.

We have to become harder to beat and protect the back 4 so in my opinion a move to a 433 formation probably play on the counter attack and maybe become a little more direct.

Sounds like Schmid and Williams could be back for this game which puts the debate with Devlin potentially who was great against Sheffield Wednesday. A option I would like to see is both play.

Pack sits in front not setting the press like he has been which completely opens up as he doesn’t have the legs to get back which then knackers him out and frustrates him which makes him put lunging tackles causing poor free kicks to give away.

Also the extra midfielder would track the runners as well as protect the back 4

I’m struggling with the centre forward though yengi has the pace, I’d be tempted with Saydee but has little goal threat but could his physicality increase the threat of the 2 wingers!?

O’mahoney didn’t do much for me last game same as Sorenson

I’m choosing Towler of McIntyre because he looks knackered long time injured lots of games quickly

—Devlin——pack——Potts—
—Lang——yengi——Murphy—

Obviously if Shaughnessy and Farrell become available they both walk into this team.

I don't think Yengi will have done enough to get the nod. Bench was ranging at him and waving him to get forward multiple times in the last 20 mins. Seems not to take direction well

That’s why I was torn with Saydee like I mentioned his role would be to feed the wingers and the defence may end up having to put 2 on him which would open up the space

Archer hasn't done  anything wrong and has more Championship experience than Schmind. I'd play Dozzell instead of Pack & Saydee for his strength instead of Murphy.

Just go with the one winger  in Lang floating.

I would go 4-5-1 with Saydee holding up for Lang and Blair to run onto.

With the wingers and the forwards we have got I don't see the point of playing anyone else forward and relying on crosses for goals.

Schmid delivers through the middle, so I would say let's play panic balls into the 18 yard box and goad the opposition to giving away pens and corners.

Grind out points and climb to midtable

The one thing Saydee seems to do is cause panic when he’s near the opponents box

Saydee has to start if fit, exactly the right attitude and work rate for every game for the rest of the season.

Willims hs been a let down fro a captain from Barnsley, but then they have been a yoyo team so he can't be much more than a relegation candidate in the Champ

Don't think Yengi has much pace. He's more of a bulldozer although quite skilful. It seems to me that Yengi, O'Mahony and Sorensen all need to work on their first touch. They all invariably let the ball slip away from them by a yard or two allowing the defenders to nip in. Another concern is corners. Last year we won most in our box or the opponent's with Raggett and Shocker. It's just not happening this year altho' Mahony won one which led to our goal the other night and Ogilvie has twice hit the woodwork in recent weeks. Apart from that, zilch.

The ball seems to stick to yengi a bit better than the others. He needs to improve though.

One of my best ever early away games. Away to Hull after they got promoted from the 3rd to the 2nd. Great game, 3:3, first game for them after promotion so the atmosphere was great. I liked their old ground too. And to make it even better, their chairman asked for volunteers from the away coaches; we got a tour of the ground a drink in the executive bar (when grounds were dry) and a free can of Tiger Cola. Nice and sunny too, unusual for the North Sea grounds.

Obviously if Shaughnessy and Farrell become available they both walk into this team.

That midfield is weak and provides little protection for the defence and little for our attack to feed on. That's the area we need to work on and I'm not convinced that potts is the answer. I'd like to see more of moxon, kamara and Ritchie but moose has his favourites and those three aren't one of them.

Not sure on Yengi.

He might be worth a go.

However, he was absolutely diabolical when he came on Friday.

Lazy player.

Personally I'd flood the centre of the park to try and stop the goals leaking in - we have conceded the most in the league now.

It might be worth playing Devlin in front of the back 4 - his pace, desire and tackling could really ease the pressure on the back 4 and stop teams just waltzing straight though us.

Macintyre is costing us goals and needs to be dropped.

I'd give Silvera another go with Ritchie coming on after 60 mins.

Agree about Mc Intyre but  Nooooo not Silvera, hope he never pulls on  PFC shirt again, awful player.

Play Devlin, Potts & Dozzell as a midfield 3 with Saydee behind Lang & Yengi ( O' Mahoney to come on when he tires).

One holding midfielder and 5 'forwards'. ?? That lineup would get seriously overrun in midfield . And Murphy on the right ??

Inverted wingers, high line, Dozell in the quarter back position, wingers chosen for tracking back.

Counter attack, once saw a crazy frenchman do it in a derby.

We would get cut through the middle easier than only playing pack and potts

GK
Devlin Poole Towler Ogilvie
Murphy Pack Lang Moxon Lane
Yengi

I know Pack is out of fan favour atm but he is our most experienced midfielder and we badly need experience, so maybe being dropped will give him the kick up the arse he needs. Also bring in Moxon who probably is our best box to box midfielder. My only change would be Devlin for Moxon and either Swanson or Williams at RB. As an aside Murphy need to learn to track back to support his fullback like Lane does.

I think the current trend for slating Macintyre is a trifle unfair. We are currently allowing the opposition to walk right through our midfield and I don't think any defender at this level is going to do any better under those circumstances. I certainly don't think Poole is playing any better (and I'm not blaming him for that). Midfield needs to grow a spine and throw in some hard tackles - none of which Ive seen in noticeable quantities from any of the players that have turned up in those positions. Both defence and attack are suffering from the ineptitude of the midfield. There's no outlet for defenders, there's no pace down the wings and then are feck all decent crosses for our attackers to seize upon.
