Obviously managers never get all the players they want, due to factors like dosh, not wanting to move to Pompey, not wanting to drop a division, etc. etc. You lot seem to have a strange idea of what the job titles ‘CEO’ and ‘head of recruitment’ actually mean. Their job descriptions do not include team selection.

Well we can agree that he is heavily involved in the actual act of recruitment but he would have no say as to who we actually recruit, that is down to the wishes of the manager and the will of the owners to finance it.
