I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon at Fratton for the first time in 18 months.
The Fratton End were very noisy and the team responded. Precious little "jackett-ball" to be seen, in fact the work rate from all the players was excellent. Lots of closing down in the opponents half and Peterborough looked a poor side - only because they were allowed very rare opportunities. The Marquis/Thompson battle was the real highlight and since the latter was withdrawn before an almost certain second yellow, you'd have to say that Marquis won the dispute hands down.
Marquis was my man of the match but, in truth, everyone ran their socks off. The work ethic was really impressive.
Many reasons to be cheerful!
