As much as I miss the footie, I don't mind a longer break either. Scrap the FA Cup this year, have a mini-break and start again on January 16th or even 23rd.
Why scrap the oldest cup comp in the world, they've already cut out replays so that should be enough. If anything scrap the checkatrade, leasingdotcom, papajohns, or whatever it is this week.
agreed there, I would never scrap the FA Cup its already been reduce to one to half a dozen games max. Just make all the other cup comps single legs with no mini leagues or the like. With no reserve league the extra cup games are actually more than useful for keeping the squad players match fit.
