So many world leaders, especially Putin and Kim Jong Un will be sitting watching the telly laughing their cocks off right now

You’d hope Putin was enjoying it. After all he did fund it.

Back in the Summer the usual suspects, amongst our brethren, were queuing up to denounce the Black Lives Matter protestors.
Now - because it's the racist right - not a squeak! Funny that.

His supporters who stormed the Capitol were 'fighting for justice and democracy'. Do you think think they know what those big words mean, or are they just plucking words they've heard on the telly...

The very unsettling thing is that there would have been a significant proportion of the US population who would quite happily have joined in with the violence, they were just not in proximity.
A very significant amount of the US voters still voted for Trump, in spite of what he says or does. Trump represents a large contingent who aren't happy with their lot. Is this event really any different from the storming of the Bastille or other violent acts of revolution?

Some people are just looking for a target for all this anger that’s been festering inside them - validate the anger and there’s no stopping them. Isn’t that what we’ve seen since 2015/6.

There is no answer that will satisfy them - they've been promised a return to a world that can no longer exist.

Personally, I enjoy the debate (where it really is a debate).

Interestingly, when the Bastille was "liberated" there were only seven prisoners incarcerated at the time (three were common criminals and the others were there at the request of their families!) There were a few more on Capitol Hill, but your point is a good one.

Cunny, I think we could do with a better adversary than Mooosh - I’m no good with typos either (you can tell by the grey edits notes) but I wouldn’t be using it as some sympathy-crutch.
