Very interesting if correct. Curtis dropped, two up front.

We've been two up front for weeks. Curtis is quite capable of playing there, and has at international level, but he hasn't exactly shown much or looked like scoring very often.  He can't complain at being left out, but no doubt he will come on at some stage.
Agree, but he's a winger not a CF. Guess he'll come on at some stage for Walker or Hirst.
Looks interesting line up & can't really criticise it.

My only point is what has Jacobs done wrong?

If we're behind & struggling at H.T. give him at least 20 minutes Not 6 like last Saturday when he deserved to start.

PUP.
Pretty much our strongest 11, if we exclude a Jacobs or Curtis position.
I'm sure both will come on at some stage, but good to see two genuine CF's playing together
Hackett injured, or just dropped from the squad?
You have to think its based on form. Brown is more defensive so not surprised he's picked ahead of him for an away game.

That being said, 2 mins in and we should be 1 down! Baz bailed us out.
20 mins gone and not even a sight of a shot on goal. Here we go again.
True, more defensive away, but if we can't win at Wimbledon we are in trouble for sure.
that looks a pretty decent bench now. Add one more striker and we should be ok for the rest of the season.
Maybe two more strikers. Sorry to say this but Walker has done absolutely nothing this half (whereas Carter has looked very solid)
Carter does look confident and solid doesn't he. Walker hasn't had an open goal to mess up yet ;-) ill give him a bit more time.
Far too soon to judge a player, especially a striker in a team that creates few chances. How unrealistic can we be?

Reasonable point. Carter has fitted in very well, Thompson good again, Raggett, Ogilvie fine, Romeo good most of the time but at least three bad errors. Brown not great. Baz fine of course.
Radio sounds as though the game is scrappy. Our midfield doesn't seem to have any creativity in it as usual.
It's a terrible game. 2nd half has got to be better than this. Granted we have 2 making their debut. Missing Curtis and Jacobs.
clean sheet away. Grab a goal second half, job done. Does not matter how we get it.
Fingers crossed anyhow.
Can’t expect Walker to work miracles. He’s receiving the same level of service the strikers have received all season.
It is beyond me how a fit Jacobs can't get in this team. Surely he has shown he has the extra guile needed to make something happen. Surely it's worth giving him a proper run out soon?
Very niggly game. Very little quality on show from us. Lot of hoofball. No creative play around the box. Obvious the front 2 have known each other for 10 mins. Brown keeps getting drawn inside - luckily they’ve not taken advantage of 2 clear overlaps in the box on our left. I’d expect a change from the bench pretty soon after h/t if it continues.
Two new signings but the same old same old !

Walker with 45 minutes of education as to why Pompey’s strikers struggle to get goals. Not a single shot on target in 48 minutes.

We are playing relegation strugglers but have hardly troubled them, c’mon Cowley, get your own and the team’s collective finger out and let’s see 45 minutes of the exciting football you keep promising us.

Do we have to be so defensive with Brown in for Curtis ? Why can’t midfield create anything ? Any chance of us going for the win rather than just holding on and hoping for something on the break ? Are you sure you know what your doing ?
Needs Curtis and Jacobs on now, or at least after 60.

Brown is not in for Curtis, he has replaced Hackett at left wing back.
