The journalist from the Coventry Telegraph struggled to find positives about him in discussions with the News. His record on Wiki is patchy and he is now 25. Why is he at Pompey?
Because Cowley desperately needed a more expensive downgrade on Marquis?

I guess he trusts him because he worked with him at Lincoln but having seen Walker on the pitch you've got to wonder, haven't you?
The worry is also the amount he’s cost us with so far no return.

His wiki record is 20 goals in 51 games at league one level, and 22 in 44 League 2.

That's not too shabby.

He's at Pompey because he did the business for the Cowleys at Lincoln in this division (14 in 29).

But how long can we give him ? because he has not looked anything so far in a blue shirt and Cowley's judgement is on the line with him more than any other signing he has made.

If he’s only getting a few minutes at the end of the match and the service is as bad as it was on Tuesday the chances of him making an impact are getting slimmer and slimmer. He just doesn’t look a shadow of the player with that sort of record. Let’s hope it all changes tomorrow.

But when he's started he's been guilty of hiding so many times - it's almost as if he doesn't want to be out there as unlikely as that may be.  You need to see a few green shoots of progress with a player and with Walker so far there's been nothing that I can remember. Deep is correct, there's just been no evidence of there being a decent player there for Pompey.

Completely agree. He’s digging a hole for himself that gets harder to get out of with every disinterested performance. The less time on the pitch the fewer chances to redeem himself, if indeed he wants too.
Strange isn't it. Why wouldn't he want to prove himself with a manager who has already helped his career. Sulking about not being in the championship?

Perhaps he is too thick to realise that if he fails at pompey, there aren't going to be many takers for him in the league above!
His performance was much improved on Tuesday.

Not a difficult thing to do, tbf.
Touched it four times.
…..and that included a shot!

Was that his first?
really does not look suited to that deep role, especially after having watched O'Brien do very well in the same spot
Let the boy play pressure free - his record in the bottom 2 divisions is ok

We ain’t going up & we ain’t going down - support the boy and hopefully he’ll come good

Time for this fanbase to actually start supporting our players - diggin out/abusing our players has never ever ever ever worked or improved them like ever

Trouble is that he is an expensive loan player, you don’t get loan players in so that can take 20 games to do something, it defeats the point of getting them in.

He has and will be supported and if he’s has a sh1t game he’ll get told, that happens and has always happened at every stadium and park in the country.
He and the other loan players need to help us look like a team heading for the play offs, otherwise there is little pint having them, unless we hope to buy them at the end of the season.
Tyler should be doing what his first name suggests.'Cos he ain't a striker.
Tyler Wa*ker is the worst striker ever to pull on a Pompey shirt. He can’t be bothered to even try. Give me Harrison above him any day. Send the useless waster back to Coventry and let’s stop playing with ten men.
Check out walkers goal scoring record at league 1 & league 2 - get behind the lad

It’s not just his lack of goals it’s his lack of effort, Hirst is sh1t too but at least he tries.
During this season - 2021/22- he played a part in 19 Championship games for Coventry and scored 2 goals (in successive away games on 16th and 20th October), for Pompey he has played a part in 7 games and has scored 0 goals *

Is that what I am supposed to get behind ?

Abusing/diggin out players has never ever ever like ever improved a player

Get behind the lad ?
'Help those that help themselves' is always a reasonable motto. If he actually tries tonight instead of wandering around the pitch smiling at his bank balance then everyone will get behind him. One more 'can't be bothered' performance then he deserves all the flack that comes his way.
As long as he gives a 100% I'm sure we will. It worked for Hirst
I think Walker definitely needs to look at and talk with Hirst. He's no world beater and did not win us over quickly. But I think most fans feel we are better with him in the team. Finish a few more like that and we will be putting in a bid for him.
Hirst is starting to do a M.Smith on the dis-believers in our fanbase - was being written off by a fair few (unsurprisingly)

Back the players folks - give them your support ?
