They haven’t guaranteed he plays match after match, DC wants to. He’s clueless.

If we fail to even make the play offs (which seems to be realistically our only ambition now) he has to go. Still, maybe 2nd half will bring about a miraculous change in our play!! here's hoping.

Life under the Eisners sadly. They harp on about history yet happy to destroy us as a force. Far too many on here happy to accept the mediocrity. 50 year plan etc. Hope its good when the current fan base are dead and the kids all support any other South Coast club. Please sell you say you've had offers.

They don’t pick the tactics ffs, this is a quality team spoilt by 2 PE teachers.
If you're happy I rest my case and you can enjoy this for eternity.  Mike appointed  the cheap option ... again

Who appointed the cheap option?

Who says they were the cheap option ?

Managers who have managed in the Championship don't come cheap.

Lol half a season and got sacked, not exactly seasoned championship managers.

Cheap or expensive they are fucking dreadful.

Out of work managers do, though.

Especially when they’ve only had success in non league football.

I guess that is the option I hadn't thought about.
Cowley seemed mighty unhappy that Lowery keeps breaking down with what in his words was just a grade 1 tear. He definitely is not happy with someone on the medical team so it seems. Oh and his latest new word is emotional, the players got to emotional. Whatever that means. Personally I would have used the word crap.
I agree with D.C. regarding Lowery. It’s scandalous that our medical team fail to get a player with a grade one tear back fit for what will now be around 2 months. As for ‘emotional’ I can tell him we are all more emotional than his sodding players about the mess we are getting into. If Koroma got even vaguely emotional it would be a start.
Or just maybe we keep rushing players back, in previous years they would have had some minutes in the reserves and then be bought back.
The high press theory cannot possibly help with returning from injuries either.
There was no high press today.

Dale was poor.
Koroma was poor.
Scarlett was ordinary.

Hardly surprised we were lacklustre, with those three not performing.

On a positive note… Hume was great going forward (a bit dodgy in défense…twice!)
Reeco was good.
Pigott did a beautiful turn after he came on.
Thank fuck for Griffiths!

Quite an entertaining second half, especially if you were a neutral.

How did the game sound on the radio, Mikey?

I’d use worse than crap to describe the chuckle brothers.

Managers who have managed in the Championship don't come cheap.

Pompey plucked the Cowleys off the dole queue after they had been run out of town by Huddersfield and they previously ran out the back door at Lincoln(still under contract) after shafting their budget and delivering hoof ball.(no due diligence done by pfc)
can only see this ending in tears but Eisner`s only real interest is in their freehold investment and the team comes a long way down on their priority list.
They took over Huddersfield with 1 point from six games and kept them up…and then got the sack!

Plenty of Lincoln fans wanted them back when Huddersfield pushed them back out of the door. Why wouldn’t they have done? Successive promotions….

Due diligence? You’re having a laugh. Our early season form was a clear indication of how far they have brought this club.
Early season form was good last season too. Unfortunately you don’t get promotion in September.
We were crap at the start of last season. We just managed some lucky results.

We were far from crap this season. No comparison!
Changing the manger, won't guarantee an improvement in results, look at Watford et al, stability is key
Stability is key if you have the right manager.
Fortunately, we have.

We also have some fans who don’t recognise that.
We had Jackett for 4 years...that was stability.

How long until he shows it?

Some would argue he was showing it until we lost so many players to injury. Do you not agree?

I would agree we have played well for what 6 games? Does that mean he’s the right man for the job? No.

Last season is more evidence than the start of this season.

So if you believe he’s the right man, how long do you give him to get us promoted?

IMO Every manager should get three years to achieve their targets. Jackett got given a fourth because of Covid, which was a mistake.    The only manager we have had since reforming under fan ownership that I would not have given three years to was Barker, I still think Awford & Whittingham could have succeeded given more time and backing.
