New home kit

Should we only have a new home kit every two years? And a new away kit in the year between?
At last,it's the right shade of blue (well almost).

I like the colour if the new shirts but not the stripey effect.

Pompey shouldn’t have fucking stripes imo.

Shade of blue looks the same as last years as far as I can see (apart from the darker stripes)

Agreed. I think it looks bloody awful and don’t like it all.
It's not the best kit, it's not the worst. Somewhere around the middle I reckon.

As I haven't bought a footy shirt since I stopped playing many moons ago it doesn't affect me.

Anyway, this season is all about the bold patterns for men.
I'm just happy that it doesn't have a betting company logo on the front. Decent sponsors.

Unlike you to bring political virtue signaling into it.

Who’d have thought it?  Big Grin
I fail to see what is either political or virtue signalling about the gambliing industry. But I guess when your main motive is to have a go at someone any stick will do.

Have a lovely day in the pub.
As usual there is going to be a lot of opinions on it , some will like, some will dislike, some (like me) won't care as long as it is a promotion winning season.

You’re right Deep, just watched the promotional video and you get a better idea of the blue.

It’s not bad but still the wrong blue imo.

If we get promoted in it I’ll be happy though.
It should have a 125th Anniversary logo on it.

£55 for another crap Nike training top. I thought they were going to do a centenary kit or something.

I wish they'd bin Nike. They have always been absolutely shit. Their contempt for our level is actually quite impressive.
Reminds me of the 1992 Goodmans pattern. No whinging from grown men about kits back then.
Yeh there was, you could barely move for whinging about terrible early 90s kits, wall to wall it was ffs.
Just a simple royal blue shirt with the Pompey badge would suffice, plain and simple!

Agreed, especially for an anniversary year. They should have gone for something much more traditional.

Do they still have supporters trust people involved to advise on this sort of stuff ?
I like it, kind of reminds me of my first ever Pompey shirt I had bought for me, the 93/94 Goodmans shirt with the diamond design. Similar colour scheme anyway

I have the Goodmans one. I wear it everywhere on holiday much to my wifes disgust. "not that bloody shirt again" every time. Trouble is, generally I cant recognise where I am in the world, my photos are always of me with the Goodmans shirt on. (and that's since 1994.) Sad I know. But that's me. PTID.

Absolutely spot on.

Had the white collar with a red button. I used to wear it to football training here in Australia as a kid where all my team mates wore Man U, Liverpool, Spurs shirts etc

The retro 1978 shirt caught my eye.
I don’t think the majority of people on this board are the target market.

It’s fine.
I like it, but can't afford them.
its ok and that's about it.
I imagine the students being put in debt for years might prefer their money to be spent on their course.
But then you all know I'd much prefer no shirt sponsor at all.
