Free header. FFS.
We appear to have fallen apart.and are going to get some stupid red card as well if don't get sorted. Who is the captain on the pitch now?

Goodnight that's it!

Not keen on the cowleys. They won't get us promotion.

I wonder if Joey Barton is going to chip in?

Mingi looks really good. Should be starting imo
17-10-2022, 09:00 PM
Mid-table obscurity it is, then.

On the bright side, surely Mingi starts Saturday? He was bright and clever which is more than can be said of Pack and Morrell.

Overall, Charlton deserved it as they were more direct, a threat down both wings, attacked in numbers, and with pace.
BUT Fine Margins? Definite push/shirt pull for opener though Morrison should have been stronger Clear penalty not given for shirt pull on Scarlett Stockley should have had a red card - lashed out right, left and centre in aftermath of Pack's dismissal but no yellow. Then when Morrell correctly got a yellow for pushing, Stockley did exactly the same 2 seconds later and got away with it Jacobs was looking good until injured. In terms of where we go now. Please play Ogilvie in his best position Don't start Koroma away from home - he's a luxury player best suited to playing at FP only - use Curtis away Mingi is so direct and a breath of fresh air, so must start in Pack's absence at FGR Keep the faith! I think morell is average, apart from the odd good cross he doesn't contribute much, lowery is a much better player

Recently heard an interview with DC where he said he wanted to build a team we could be proud of. Admirable. Any idea when he’s going to start to do this?

Before the game last night Sky showed a stat saying that Pompey had scored the most goals from crosses this season in Div 3 and Charlton conceded the most from crosses. Can barely remember more than one decent cross last night (Robertson's and it was one hell of a cross to be fair). Was screaming for Koroma to push for the by-line and get a good cross in when instead he cut inside and played a nothing pass leading to their 2nd goal. Dale buzzed around well for about 30 minutes but again rarely put in a cross. Too many times we tried to thread a pass in a crowded penalty area into Scarlett.
Agree with all the comments about Mingi. He definitely should start with Pack out. Like his energy and willingness to run at players. Thought Swanson did okay defensively when he came in and if Rafferty is not fit for Saturday, then he should start along with Curtis for Koroma.

I couldn’t believe how frequently and easily we gave the ball away last night. Shocking.

Wide open, poor defending, Ogilvie who I like, got caught for pace, keeper definitely a work in progress. Bad day at the office.
Plus Charlton are an annoying whiny bunch of South London tossers. |
