Cutting off your nose to spite your face is not a great trait to have as a manager.
There have been a number of players inexplicably left out over the years, Biley being a classic example (oh how we could do with someone like him now).
Biley not the greatest player we have had, but probably my favourite. Definitely way better than any striker we have had for years
Biley and Kemp were probably my all time favourite strikers (non-premier anyway). Selling them was a terrible piece of business on each occasion (we got peanuts for Biley, and fecking John Latham for Kemp).
Special mentions also for Garwood, Hateley, Whittingham, Walsh and a personal favourite of mine ... Rafferty.
All such great players, we are privileged to have watched them ffs.
David Kemp was brilliant and what is all the more remarkable is that he scored his goals playing in a very mediocre side.
