So this is not really about money, it's about our on-going year-on-year problem of recruitment. I'm fed up with hearing Cowley talking about not having a day off because he and his 'team' are working so hard to deliver a decent squad. There's a saying: don't work hard, work smart. So less sweat and self-pity please, more intelligence and results.
I disagree that Cowley is to blame for why we have not signed any strikers yet. The problem lies with Tony Brown and Andrew Cullen. They are the ones who negotiate player transfers, loans and wages. All the manager does is give a list of the players he wants to sign. So best to vent your frustration at them and not Cowley.
