Stevenage's entire game plan was to get a free kick in our half (which the ref more often obliged) and then thump the ball in the general direction of the penalty area to get their chances. That was it. They also had an Xmas game conveniently postponed giving them extra resting time. I'm glad it didn't work.
I didn't like our defensive play in the second half but the team were running on empty and being kicked all over the park. Stevenage rely on intimidating the ref - a tactic that often works considering the pisspoor level in l1. I can see why this anti-football thuggery has resulted in them doing well.
Got 3 points from a fecking dirty team so I'm happy.
