Yes, the team was in very good form at the time, and would still have been in very good form if Bishop had not been injured. Who's to say Bishop would not have scored more than Yengi's one goal in those games with the team playing so well ?
Yengi did well, well enough to not need to sign another striker during the window, and will no doubt do well again when he gets the chance in the rest of the season. But he is a long way behind Bishop in the pecking order at the moment.
Well Bishop has started scoring again but it’s good to have a different option in the shape of the physically strong 6’2 Yengi to come on if things aren’t happening as planned and we need a bit of extra height and muscle up front. I’m of the opinion that Australia should lose to South Korea tomorrow and Yengi should become available for the Carlisle match on February 10th
